International Heavy Rescue Symposium Nov 4,5,6 2022

Spec International, with partners Paratech, Guardian Centers LLC and assorted rescue industry vendors, host the International Heavy Rescue Symposium November 4-6, 2022. The hosting venue is a national center of excellence. Guardian Centers (a proverbial “USAR Disneyland”) The site provides ample training areas, access facilities and amenities. The symposium training encompasses 3 days of labor intensive, focused applications of rescue technology and techniques for stabilizing and rescue during heavy vehicle events. Compliant with, and developed from, NFPA 1006 (2021) Chapter 9.3. Heavy Vehicle Rescue students rotate through at least 8 “pits” or scenarios including stabilization and rescue involving heavy vehicle underrides, overturned incidents, implementation and familiarization of rotator and wrecker applications and more.

Travel: Students are responsible for their own travel and ground transportation. The closest airport is Atlanta (Hartsfield/ATL approximately 100 miles away). There are many lodging options in the Perry/Warner Robbins area, but Spec. Rescue has arranged discount pricing with the Hotels below. Please mention Fireman Special Training to obtain block/group pricing. Rooms are limited and are first come, first serve. The following logistical information will assist you with preparing to attend the course:

Pre-requisites: None (Preferred Vehicle I or basic stabilization and extrication  knowledge)

Upon successful completion, participants receive operations or technician skills level:

                         Handling the Heavies Certificate of Attendance from Spec Rescue International

Course Location: Guardian Centers LLC  600 Perry Parkway, Perry Georgia 31069

Course Dates: November 4-6, 2022.  Class begins promptly at 0800 each day and runs approximately 8 hours each day (or later pending completion of the day’s objectives).  100% attendance is required, so please plan travel accordingly.
